Training Program
1. Training Objective
The objective of this training is to teach participants how to control bleeding and treat lacerations in accordance with emergency response procedures. Conducted in virtual reality (VR), the training provides a realistic simulation of an emergency on a construction site, allowing participants to practice wound treatment techniques under the guidance of a virtual instructor.
During the simulation, participants will learn to:
Assess the situation and secure the incident site
Control bleeding using direct pressure on the wound
Apply a pressure bandage to a leg injury
Use a protective dressing for head injuries
2. Who Should Attend?
This training is designed for:
Industrial and manufacturing workers
Employees responsible for first aid in the workplace
Workers undergoing initial or periodic workplace safety training
Construction workers
Site supervisors and foremen
Designated first aid responders in workplaces
3. Training Outline
Part I: Introduction to VR (8 minutes)
Learning how to use the VR training application, including movement and interaction in the virtual environment
Introduction to hand tracking and speech recognition features
Part II: VR Simulation (7 minutes)
a) Situation Assessment and Site Security
Analyzing the surroundings and identifying potential hazards
Assessing the injured person’s condition – checking consciousness and breathing
Notifying emergency services with key details about the injury
b) Controlling Bleeding and Wound Dressing
Applying direct pressure to a leg wound to stop bleeding
Correctly applying a pressure bandage to a lower limb injury
Using a protective dressing for a head injury, considering potential internal trauma
Monitoring the injured person’s condition until medical professionals arrive
c) Interactive Feedback and Performance Evaluation
The virtual instructor provides real-time feedback on the participant’s actions and offers guidance on proper techniques
Participants can repeat key steps in case of mistakes
4. Training Benefits
VR training provides realistic first aid conditions, allowing participants to practically rehearse critical procedures in a safe, virtual environment.
